Love this, nice cheap bag worth the value and helps keep orchids alive and healthy. Ive repotted two mini orchids so far with this bark, one is blooming far better than it was in whatever “just add ice” threw it in.

I forgot to soak mine before reporting my orchids & it doesn’t seem to hold much moisture because of it. Constantly has red color bleeding from it when getting wet too, so probably not very natural. Would recommend trying something else.

Whenever I’m rescuing plants, nearly deads I call them, repotting plants etc I always mix a chunky soil… That includes potting soil, orchid bark and vermiculite. Makes a well draining soil that my plants thrive in ❤️. My staghorn ferns love it as well

Coarse. Perfect size for orchids. Smells great. No bugs or flying insects. 4 QT only. Meaning it’s a small bag. Using this alone, one could fill maybe 2-3 6″ pots. That’s it.

Should be fine for repotting orchids

Who wants to look at dirt? This bark is very nice in houseplants as a topsoil and I replenish seasonally in all my houseplants. It looks fresh, stays fresh, and always makes plants florist professional!

I bought this bark for my orchid, and I went to the orchid Society to have them repot it. They said that this type of medium is kind of a multipurpose and the orchid could do OK or not so good in it depending on which orchid you have. I decided not to try it because I didn’t want my orchid to die. I tried to return it, but they just had me keep it.

I was surprised to find orchid bark at such a great price here. My orchid fell over and needed to be repotted in a hurry. This orchid bark was so affordable I took a chance. I’m very happy with it, and repotting my orchid was a breeze.

The chips are large, some over 2-3″ in length, 1/2″ wide and create too much space for smaller orchids to be packed well. Overall the bark is fine, but understand that additional mix material is necessary for the roots to setup.

My plants seem to be loving it so far added on top of a chunky cactus potting mix, like it much better than the dark brown version from miracle grow that was prone to mold

I love this brand. Quality. Doesn’t break down easily. My orchids love it. Also, use it as amendment in indoor soil mix for Monstera, Snake plant. Use it on top of rubber tree plant as well.

The bark itself is fine for my medium size phalaenopsis, but the 4-quart bag is quite small. I have three orchids in 5-inch pots, and this isn’t enough to do all three.

I’m ordering a second bag. A good value for the price, though!

This orchid bark is where it’s at. It is high quality and is fresh and ready for immediate use. Smells amazing (if you like that deep woods scent!). Pro tip – if you are potting with orchids soak the bark in water first for a day – bark is so notoriously dry that it’s hard to pot with immediately with orchids so by soaking it first, really helps with moisture control and future watering. For all of my future orchid needs I will continue to get this brand of bark. It’s really just good quality and fantastic. Highly recommend!
